PROCESS SPECIALIST

This role has day-to-day responsibilities analyzing and helping improve the processes within the claims department. In addition, the Process Specialist provides support on special projects and other duties as assigned by the Process Manager and/or the Director of Process.

Essential Duties

  • Generate and Analyze metrics on operational activities within the claims department.
  • Identify current processes
  • Work within the department to create efficiency gains
  • Complete special projects assigned by the Process Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong relationship management and proven experience delivering high level of internal and external customer service. Computer proficiency with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience preferred
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications and call center systems
  • Property claims handling experience preferred
  • Microsoft Excel experience preferred
  • Quality assurance experience a plus
  • Business analyst and/or project management experience a plus
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Guidewire and/or ClaimCenter experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Florida 6-20 Adjuster License is required and must be achieved within 2 months of employment.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must possess the ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos as well as write simple correspondence. Must also be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be proficient with the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Must also be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
