CLAIMS SERVICE COORDINATOR

Provides after hour call support to the Claims department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer telephone and input new Notices of Loss into the system.
  • Set up new claims log notes, tickler notes, ISO searches, property appraisers, mortgage, and deed searches for each loss taken.
  • Assist in monitoring the Notice of Loss Queue.
  • Assist in processing all Image Now Document Queues.
  • Process daily incoming mail.
  • Serves as back-up to after-hours Claims Service Coordinator that is absent.
  • Process priority mail confirmations
  • Check outside adjusters voicemails when on vacation.
  • Any duty assigned by manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer experience – Typing at least 45-60 wpm, moderate understanding of Microsoft
  • Word and email programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills for phone, email, and letter production.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Facilitate through office programs proficiently once trained, including documenting the various systems.

Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Work requires continual attention to detail. Our general business hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. This position may require overtime, including possibly working nights and weekends.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED require.1-4 years of related experience and/or training are preferred. All lines adjuster license preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to professionally execute written communications. Ability to effectively present information in one-on- one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be proficient with the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must also be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
