When it comes to choosing an insurance agent, experience is a key factor in the homeowner’s decision making process. In this month’s Agency Spotlight, we’re showcasing a Pompano Beach, FL agency who has 50 years experience in serving the homeowners insurance needs of clients in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties.
Frank Furman Insurance, Inc. was founded in 1962 by Frank H. Furman, Jr. who serves as the agency’s CEO. Under his leadership, the company has been recognized as one of the “Top 20 Agencies” in South Florida and has been featured on the cover of Rough Notes Magazine, a national circulated Risk Management publication, in March 2009.
In May of this year, the South Florida Business Journal recognized Furman Insurance for being ranked in the Journal’s list of “25 Top Insurance Agencies” for the 10th consecutive year. This recognition stems from providing customers with exceptional service from experienced team members. In fact, over half of the staff has been with the agency for more than 10 years.
Furman Insurance was selected to be a part of the elite group of Frontline independent agents in 2003 due to their longstanding excellent reputation, the staff’s broad knowledge of the industry and their successful track record of being one of the top producers in their area.
“Our customers have unique needs when it comes to insuring their coastal homes or condos. Our partnership with Frontline allows us to tap into their deep knowledge of coastal insurance coverage and offer the best protection for the best value. We truly value our relationship with Frontline,” according to Susie Krix, Vice President of Personal Lines.
In addition to serving their client’s homeowners insurance needs, the agency also provides commercial and individual lines insurance and is affiliated with more than 25 different membership organizations including the Associated Builders and Contractors East Coast Chapter (ABC), Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB), Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) and more including several community service organizations.
Since 1979, Frank Furman Jr. served on the board of directors of John Knox Village, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Pompano Beach, with 25 of those years as president. Upon his retirement from the board in 2010, he was honored by having Furman Square dedicated in his honor. This beautifully landscaped area which also features a fountain and clock tower is the focal point of the community which Mr. Furman dedicated much of his time.
When the team members of Furman Insurance aren’t providing exceptional service to their clients, they’re having some fun around the office. Holidays are celebrated by decorating and having a pizza party and in just a few days, the annual Pumpkin Carving Contest will take place with prizes awarded for this Halloween tradition.
