Accountant II

The Accountant II will be responsible for general accounting, monthly closing entries, balance sheet substantiation, financial controls, and cash management for the group. Possesses both excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and reconciliations.

Essential Duties

Bank Deposit Reconciliation to system Posting

  • Process Void/Stop Payments
  • Record bank transactions including deposits, ACH, and wires
  • Review and record small ops bank transactions from various business locations
  • Record bi-weekly payroll entries
  • Prepare invoices for various businesses
  • Support and response to accounting related inquiry from various business teams
  • Work on ad-hoc projects assigned

Month End Duties:

  • Prepare month end journal entries for various businesses
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and substantiation for other accounts (inventory, loan, intercompany,
  • credit cards, ACH payment, petty cash log, deposit log, etc.)
  • Prepare roll forward schedules for fixed assets and leases.
  • Assist in month end reports compilation and planning.
  • Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.


This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a reputable US university
  • 1-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ‘hands-on’ approach

Proficient in Office 365 products specifically spreadsheet/word, SharePoint, Team, etc. and prefer experience in QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Business Central, and/or similar accounting software applications.


Must possess the ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos as well as write simple correspondence. Must also be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Must be proficient with the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must also be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
